This intimate recital by the scholars of the TCC’s Toronto Chamber Consort section lead program probes this enduring conundrum by exploring songs from the 17th to the 20th centuries. Each song offers a unique view on music’s cathartic power and its remarkable ability to console, heal, and lift us up. Music by John Dowland, Barbara Strozzi, Franz Schubert, Joni Mitchell, and others.
