In this joyful holiday concert, the TCC joins forces with four of Toronto’s most brilliant jazz musicians for an experimental “cross-contamination” of Baroque and Jazz traditions. Works by Baroque masters such as Johann Sebastian Bach and George Frideric Handel mingle with music by jazz greats including Billie Holiday and Sister Rosetta Tharpe, revealing the shared energy, wit, and improvisatory spirit that unite these seemingly distant musical traditions.
