2025-12-06 07:30 PM 2025-12-06 Concert: Missa Pastoralis Toronto Chamber Choir Canada America/New_YorkThis delightful holiday program celebrates the centuries-old tradition of the zampognari, the shepherd bagpipers of Southern Italy, who played the music believed to have sounded at the very moment of Christ’s birth. The TCC will be joined by a top-notch ensemble of Baroque instrumentalists as well as by the Vesuvius Ensemble, one of North America’s only groups dedicated to the traditional music of Southern Italy. The evening features music by Italian Baroque masters Durante, Caresana and Tartini alongside the traditional holiday music from Southern Italy which inspired them.
A reception with carol singing follows the concert!
